The first FemTech Lab cohort is scheduled February-April 2021. Applications will open on December 1st.
If you have a great pre-seed/seed stage #femtechstartup, no matter where you’re based, your gender, age, or anything else, send your application through, and join the first cohort of changemakers starting in February 2021.
What constitutes a Femtech business?
Software, diagnostics, and products for:
Female specific health issues such as fertility & birth control, menstruation & period care products, menopause, chronic conditions & hormonal disorders, pelvic health, pregnancy & post pregnancy, breast feeding, sexual wellness.
Emerging health spaces that recognise gender specific healthcare, wellness & mental health such as osteoporosis, breast cancer, autoimmune conditions, stroke, thyroid issues, chronic fatigue, anxiety, and depression.
Products that empower women: such as personal finance and education.
Do I have to be female to apply?
No. FemTechLab does not require that any or all founders of your startup are women. They accept all founders building products for women’s health, wellness & empowerment.
What stage do you need to be?
You need to have your MVP, product, or prototype tested, and be working on your go-to-market strategy. Also, you should be considering raising Pre-Seed or Seed level funding.
You don’t need to already have angel investment in place, or have revenues.
How long is the progrramme?
#FemTech Lab is a 3-month programme that helps 10 selected startups take their products to market.
What can I expect?
During the programme, the selected startups get access to world-class experts and resources to scale their product development, access relevant go to market channels, and raise funds. Alongside business growth, FemTechLab will help founders grow as leaders to set them up for future success and scale.

Where is it based?
The programme is based in London, location subject to COVID-19 restrictions. A lot of their workshops will be virtual and they do not require full time presence in London.
Is there a fee for applying to the programme?
There is no fee to apply. For those companies accepted into the programme, FemTech Lab will take warrants for 5% of the fully diluted equity of your company, with a fair market value exercise price. If you have raised significant capital already, we may adjust our offer as appropriate.
They will offer a couple of paid places in our cohorts to companies that pass their selection process, but don’t match our investment strategy.
