KPMG To Scale Services With New Hires Despite Internal Challenges
Global business services firm KPMG is to grow its South West team after being integral to the firm’s pre-tax profit of £436m, it has been reported. The news comes at a time when the firm is facing several internal hurdles, including a £1bn lawsuit involving Carillion’s official receiver and a pending government audit reform.
KPMG has offices in Bristol’s Queen Square and at Salt Quay House in Plymouth. Ian Brokenshire, office senior partner for KPMG in the South West, has said that recruitment will be key to enabling the firm’s growth in the region and scale up core services.
“Through our every-day consulting and M&A advisory work, we’ve backed South West companies to realise their growth ambitions and we’re proud of the strength and resilience the region’s business community has shown in difficult circumstances,” Brokenshire told Business Live.
